The CT4-V Blackwing builds on the already excellent athletic handling of the regular CT4 lineup thanks to the shared platform from the General's Chevrolet Camaro.
Custom Launch Control on the Blackwing is automatically activated when engaging Performance Traction Management Track modes, which effectively manages tire spin and allows drivers to make use of full-throttle track acceleration when blasting off from a standstill.
A Line Lock function also allows for the automation of heating up the rear tires prior to the start of a track-based racing event. This feature works by locking the front brakes independently of the rear brakes for up to a maximum of 15 seconds, thus allowing the driver to spin the rear tires, causing them to heat up.
A standard electric rack-and-pinion power steering setup takes care of steering duty, plus a high-performance Magnetic Ride Control MacPherson strut front suspension allied with a rear five-link suspension setup endows the Blackwing with a stable and sporty ride and outstanding handling.
The fitment of a standard electronic limited-slip rear differential using a 3.73 rear axle ratio helps the Blackwing's rear tires gain maximum traction, and the standard rear differential cooler keeps everything cool without fear of any mechanical failures as the Blackwing's massive power and torque are fed through the rear axle.
