Cadillac In-Car Wireless Charging

Our busy lives, whether work-related or due to our social commitments, require us to be connected with others. Emails, texts, online searches, and listening to our favorite music while driving all require our smartphones to be available, and of course, sufficiently charged to do all these things. This is where Cadillac wireless charging becomes handy.
Getting your smartphone charged does not need to be restricted to home or the office, with a handy in-car device that charges, meaning that you can keep in contact no matter how far or where you travel.
Read on as we share the convenience of Cadillac In-Car Wireless Charging.
What Is Cadillac Wireless Charging?
There's no need to have your luxury Cadillac's cabin cluttered with messy cables when you can charge your smartphone in your vehicle without a charging cable in select Cadillac models.
Cadillac's wireless Qi 1.x charging feature allows you to place your smartphone in the designated charging spot on the console and let your Cadillac do the rest.
How Does Cadillac Wireless Charging Work?
The Cadillac wireless charging feature makes use of magnetic resonance technology to transfer energy between two coils to effectively charge any compatible smartphone.
Your Cadillac vehicle is equipped with a built-in charging pad that features a coil that creates a magnetic field. When a compatible smartphone is placed on the charging pad, the pad's own coil is then activated to allow the magnetic charging current to be transferred wirelessly.
Common locations for the phone charging pad are the front of the center console, the top of the center console armrest, or in a small vertical pocket or bin near the gear shifter.
Owners are advised to check their vehicle Owner's Manual for more information on the Cadillac in-car wireless charging feature.
How to Use Wireless Charging in Your Cadillac
- Turn on the vehicle's ignition or put it in accessory mode
- Ensure that no foreign objects are on the charging pad or in the charging pocket
- The compatible smartphone must be placed face up on the coil charging symbol on the charging pad or in the pocket, ensuring that the smartphone is fully on the charging pad or in the charging pocket and lined up correctly for the wireless charging function to work
- Once properly placed on the pad and connected, the charging symbol will be displayed on your phone's screen
If your phone fails to start charging, then remove the phone, rotate it 180 degrees, and place it back on the wireless charging pad or in the charging pocket.
A smartphone may also not start charging if it's in a protective cover or case. Removing your phone's cover should allow the phone to charge.
