How to Record Video
Ensure your vehicle is turned "on" and in "park." Then, navigate to your infotainment screen and press the "video recorder" icon to launch the Surround Vision Recorder app. By pressing the "recording" button, you can either enable or disable the recording feature.
Recording in Security Mode
The Cadillac Surround Vision Recorder also offers a Security Mode. This mode gives the system extra diligence. For example, if Security Mode is on (while your vehicle is off) and your vehicle's security system identifies any movements or changes, recording will automatically engage to "catch" the shift taking place. The external input "awakens" your vehicle, prompting the system to begin recording.
Can You Record While Driving?
You may wonder if this feature can still function while the vehicle is operational. In short, yes, the Cadillac Surround Vision Recorder can still function while you're driving. As long as the recording is enabled, then the system can supply Normal Mode recording while your vehicle is in motion.
